Solid State Frequency Converters

Solid State units are power converters, converting incoming AC power into DC power (rectifier stage) and then converting the DC power into the required AC frequency and voltage.

T2FC series AC Power Sources have the ability to simulate the AC voltage and frequency used in all countries. They are excellent instruments for R&D, design, production testing, and QA verification. The T2FC series delivers maximum rated power for any adjustable output voltage up to 300Vac (L-N) / 520Vac (L-L for 3 phase units), and at any adjustable frequency between 40Hz to 500 Hz.

The T3FC Frequency Converter system is composed of input breakers, input filter & protection network, rectifier, optional battery bank, inverter, isolation transformer, output filter and with IGBT/PWM technology. The basic topology is shown in the diagram above. Under normal AC, energy from the AC source is converted to DC power and supplied to the inverter, ready to support the output load with the exact frequency and voltage required.
